VISION FOR THE FUTURE

It is our goal to increase the number of students per grade to reach an enrollment of at least 160 students. A new campus with complete facilities will be sought as early as next year.

BELIEFS AND PHILOSOPHY

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Bible shall be diligently taught to our students. Because all that God utters is truth and all truth has its source in Him, it is impossible to understand the nature or affairs of this world except in the framework of a Christian worldview. Consequently the truths of the Bible shall be integrated into every subject taught and activity carried out at McMinnville Christian High School. II Timothy 3:16, Deuteronomy 6:6-7, John 17:17

A strong academic program resulting in students superiorly prepared for post high school training shall characterize McMinnville Christian High School. Timothy 2:15

Because our students are not to be of the world, the program of McMinnville Christian High School shall remain separate from any activities and philosophies of contemporary society that are in violation of Scripture. John 17:14 & 16, II Cor. 6:14

Though our students are not of the world, they will be in it. Therefore we will be sensitive to the legitimate standards and methods of contemporary education and prepare our students to be successful as they meet the academic challenges of continuing their education in the complex, technological society of the 21st century. John 17:18, Matt 10:16

A program of activities shall be developed including the fine arts, sports, and service projects in which students will participate in order to develop physical and social skills and sensitivities. Luke 2:52

Standards of conduct by students shall include adherence to biblical principles such as obedience to authority, honesty, diligence, respect for others and the building up of others. It is our goal that such behaviors shall become part of each student’s life style. Godly behaviors will be developed through instruction and discipline. Students who consistently show little regard for or violate these biblical principles will not be retained at McMinnville Christian High School. Proverbs 2:11-12, Hebrews 12:11

God made each student unique in purpose and talent, but with the potential to achieve complete success according to His standard. Therefore the school shall strive for a variety of curricula, activities, and teaching methodologies to best develop the variety of learning styles and learning rates with which our students were created. Psalm 139:13-16, II Peter 1:3

Because “everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher,” a teaching staff, which is able and apt to model Christian maturity as well as to provide outstanding instruction in the classroom, will be assembled and retained. I Timothy 4:12, Luke 6:40

We recognize that the primary responsibility and right for the education of children is their parents’. Ephesians 6:4

McMinnville Christian High School will be sensitive to its mission, philosophy and resources and will not attempt to accomplish purposes that are outside or beyond them. James 1:8
